He started releasing his original songs in 2015 and tracks like “My Type” and “Deep Love” made a big splash on the EDM scene. He started out in the industry by playing around The Ohio State University but now he plays for his fans around the globe. Corrupt is the DJ name for James Caudle, an artist and house producer from the United States. Until today most of those people are there showing love to their favorite artists and songs and they also got the ability to find new songs or corners they enjoy. If you love jumping around to EDM music, then Corrupt tickets are what you’re looking for. Poolz (Yorick): I think that the people loving EDM music are nothing but showing love and passion. Me: What do you think of the EDM community as a whole, from your point of view as a producer? And what do you like or dislike most about it? Poolz (Yorick): I think it is the feeling the music passes to the listener, the thing that always amazes me with the music I listen (electronic music) is the feeling i get from it, whether its sad or happy, the music really influences my soul Me: What do you personally believe is the most important thing in electronic music as a whole, whether you’re a producer or a listener? Please keep in mind that English isn’t Poolz’ first language, his first language is Dutch as he’s from the Netherlands. I’d also like to throw in that he’s an extremely heartfelt person, and it was truly a privilege talking to him.

Poolz is a very talented producer who uses Soundcloud (like many others) to ship his music. I actually reached out to Poolz to ask him a few questions via skype.

This community is full of so many beautiful people! Obviously every now and then you’ll run into a toxic critic or a pretentious musician, but you find those no matter where you go. Here, you can see the comment section of New Beginning by Soulfy and Eyes by Xeuphoria. There’s overwhelming positivity and support on the chill side of things. These producers will commonly use platforms like Soundcloud and Youtube for things like discussing tips on creating a specific kind of sound, and most people who are really into EDM will compliment tracks that aren’t theirs, simply to spread the love. These people all produce differently and independently, each has a different way that they mix their tracks and do things, each has a unique style that can be heard clear as day once they stop following strict guidelines and begin to produce from the heart. There are tens (if not hundreds) of thousands of producers out there who aren’t very well known, but create because they want to create, regardless of their relatively small following. These are all very talented individuals, but they aren’t the only people who make electronic music. Usually people immediately think of Skrillex, Diplo, or Martin Garrix. When people hear the term ‘electronic music’ or ‘EDM’ they always seem to think of dubstep or house music. Electronic music (commonly referred to as EDM for short) is a very broad term that ecompasses a whole slew of genres. I’ll be focusing on electronic music as a whole, and try to provide as much insight into this beautiful community as possible. However, this is not a rant nor list and is instead intended to clear up some major misconceptions on the subject. Personally, as an electronic musician myself I take major offense when someone calls out electronic music for being soulless, redundant, and requiring no musical talent to create.
